WINTER HAVEN | A 28-year-old man shot and killed his uncle in self defense Monday night at the Villas of Lake Smart Apartment complex, according to Winter Haven police.
Shael Torres was involved in an ongoing family dispute with David Santana, 46, according to police, and at 11:30 p.m. Monday, Winter Haven officers were called to 4024 Vista Del Lago Drive NE.
Santana had attacked Torres with a knife, and Torres defended himself by shooting Santana in the chest, a police report stated.
