WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A Prichard man was shot and killed early Wednesday morning along Route 37 in the Echo area in what appears to be a self-defense case, Wayne County Sheriff Greg Farley said.
Charles David Workman died after being shot with a shotgun. The shooting happened at the home of James Belcher about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Farley said Workman tried to kick down the door of Belcher’s home after reportedly trying to recover some money from Belcher. Belcher told authorities that Workman was armed with a shotgun and threatened to shoot him.
