Police: Man In Wheelchair Kills Intruder

SILVER SPRINGS SHORES, Fla. -- A man in a wheelchair shot and killed an intruder Monday night inside his home, according to Marion County deputies.
The shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. on Pecan Drive in Silver Springs Shores.
According to Marion County sheriff's deputies, a man knocked on the front door and asked the homeowner, Gary Wroblewski, 62, for some assistance with a car.
Wroblewski said he had an uneasy feeling just before he grabbed his handgun and opened the door.
"I was suspicious. I didn't really want to open it, but I did," Wroblewski said.
Wroblewski said he opened the door and saw the man who knocked on the door, but did not see the masked man in the bushes until the man rushed the front door.
Wroblewski fired at least one shot, killing Jeff Kenney, 24, deputies said.
"He hit the door and I went tumbling over and just pulled the gun up and started firing. He was laying across the floor," Wroblewski said.
